Contractor almost loses fingers in knife attack

A 60-year-old contractor had two fingers almost severed and suffered cuts to his legs in a knife attack by two men after he parked his car near a construction site at the Hong Kong Sports Institute in Sha Tin at about 9.30am yesterday. The attackers, in their 30s, fled on bicycles before police arrived. The victim was treated at Prince of Wales Hospital. Sha Tin detectives are investigating.
