Colourful Carnival for staid Prince's Building
with Andrew Sun. Additional reporting by Clara Mak and Vivian Chen.
It's not the most conducive place for a family carnival, but the Prince's Building in Central is trying to change its image from an office building that happens to include some shops on the lower floors to a kiddie-oriented arcade with its first Colourful Carnival this Saturday and next. The third floor will be transformed from 11am to 7pm to 'look, feel and smell' - smell? - like a mini carnival. That means popcorn and candyfloss, entertainers, decorations and free Movenpick ice cream for children. On Saturday, actor Michael Wong Man-tak and his family have been invited to 'shop for mum' Janet Ma Sze-wai. Does this mean they are shopping or did Hongkong Land just hire them to hang out and grab stuff for free? Does this qualify as quality time with the kids?
