'Stereo Man' pumps up the volume on mysterious Lan Kwai Fong walkabout
Watch out if you go to Lan Kwai Fong this weekend. Lo Down has been receiving reports of this so-called Stereo Man, a mysterious figure who was the talk of Central last weekend.
Stereo Man was spotted roaming around Lan Kwai Fong and D'Aguilar Street wearing a silver hood with a black mask covering his face, despite the heat. He cuts a muscular figure in his tiny dark blue Speedos - and he would sometimes scratch himself (possibly because of the heat). His signature prop is a giant old stereo playing extremely loud music - or maybe just noise because Lan Kwai Fong was too noisy to tell.
Our spies suggest that Stereo Man likes to wander around town holding the stereo on his broad shoulders and sweating it out. He was seen putting his stereo on the ground last weekend to get a can of energy drink at a convenience store opposite the Beer Bar (formerly known as California) in Lan Kwai Fong.
Apparently many passers-by were taken by surprise by Stereo Man's appearance. Some stopped to have a second look, others took photos, and some just looked and moved on. Despite the attention, Stereo Man didn't show his face or say a single word.
If anyone has any information about the mysterious Stereo Man, let us know. Please.
