A battling knock of 88 from vice-captain Irfan Ahmed failed to stop Hong Kong from slipping to a four-wicket loss to Papua New Guinea in their opening game at the ICC Under-19 World Cup qualifiers in Toronto. Irfan (pictured) smashed 11 fours and two sixes but received little support, apart from Waqas Barakat (31) as Hong Kong were out for 160. The loss means Hong Kong will battle in the nine-team tournament. The top six teams qualify for next year's World Cup in New Zealand.
