Are these guys real talent, or just making big boobs of everyone?

Everybody needs a little controversy and local hiphop heads, 24 Herbs (pictured), seem to revel in their bad-boy front. With the rap rabble-rousers' new single due out shortly, the group sent out a pre-emptive press release to announce that the song Hu Ge is 'too hot' for radio. Stirring up trouble before there is any, the group proclaimed: 'The song has some local radio stations in Hong Kong hesitating to put Hu Ge on rotation due to race-y (sic) content.'

So, what exactly is it about? Well, it's typical knuckle-headed flow as the six-man crew - featuring DJ Dor Yuk (Eddie Chung), MC Drunk (Conroy Chan Chi-chung), MC Sir Eats-a-Lot (Brian Siswojo), Ghost Style (Brandon Ho), MC Kit (Leung Wing-kit) and MC Phat (Phat Chan Wai-hung) - rhapsodise about girls with big breasts - the chorus sounds like Spanish but it's actually a phonetic breakdown of 'hu-ge-clea-va-ge'; put the letters together and you have 'huge cleavage'.

We called the group's management to confirm whether the track is banned. It turns out it isn't. Stations are only reluctant to play it. 'We know RTHK and Commercial Radio have broadcast it one or two times but others are not likely to broadcast it. Generally, the topic is considered too racy,' a group rep explained. Or maybe some radio DJs just have taste.

The track and its music video will be released online and to karaokes within a day or two, while 24 Herbs' 'second project' - does that mean it's not a CD? - will come out in November.
