Munich, my hometown.
What's your favourite seat on a plane and why?
By the window because I love looking at the landscape from above. It's breathtaking to see the mountains covered in snow or the skyscrapers of New York just before you land or take off. I will never forget the days at Kai Tak airport landing and taking off from Hong Kong. One could literally look into someone's flat; it almost felt like a roller-coaster ride.
Which destination have you returned to again and again?
New York. I love the energy of the city and the people. The restaurants, Broadway shows, museums and shopping are all things I enjoy. I lived there for about six years, studied fine arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology and before that attended the Lee Strasberg acting school and during that time New York grew on me. I would go to the Sunshine theatre to see indie films or meet friends at Yaffa Cafe in the East Village. Now I usually end up at Public, which is a great restaurant in Noho.
