Paris - I've been back six times this year alone. I've done all the major sights, so now it's all about the culture, food and atmosphere.

What's your next big trip?

I'm in Lisbon right now and I'll fly to Singapore to race with Team Jebsen in the Singapore Grand Prix. Then it's straight back to Europe for another race in the south of France. I'll land in Marseille and spend the week in competition before heading back home to Hong Kong.

Given US$100,000 to travel, how would you spend it?

I'd try to stretch the money as far as possible, maybe by avoiding five-star hotels and opting for smaller boutique ones. Maybe I would skip the whole hotel thing and head to Africa for a safari. However, a single luxurious week staying in a penthouse suite living the high life sounds amazing, too. Can you tell I'm indecisive?

What are three things we're guaranteed to find in your carry-on luggage?

I never go on a flight without my MacBook. I love music and ensure I have peace and quiet and my noise cancellation head phones. I also have this thing for sunny destinations, which requires me to always bring my sunglasses, a minimum of two pairs per trip.

What kind of traveller are you?

I travel a lot, which forces me to be an efficient traveller. There are always surprises, though, such as last year when I flew to Hong Kong from Bahrain after winning the 2008 Porsche Carrera Cup and had to carry a couple of my Porsche's spare parts in my carry-on.

What's your best seat on a plane?

When flying in business class, I don't worry about my seat too much. In economy, I aim for the first row as it gives you much more legroom and is a lot quieter.

How do you research and book travel?

I look up hotels on booking.com, then follow up by reading reviews on Trip Advisor.

What are the most important components of a good trip?

I try to see arts performances, wander the streets, be adventurous with dining, people watch a bit, and talk to the locals to absorb the vibe.
