World record set for Chateau Petrus 1982

Sotheby's Hong Kong took HK$61.5 million at its two-day autumn wine auction, which ended yesterday, well up on its best pre-sale estimate of HK$47.8 million. A world auction record was set at yesterday's sale for a bottle of Chateau Petrus 1982 Imperial - HK$726,000. Including the spring sales, the auction house has taken HK$111.5 million in wine sales this year.
