Gamers lured with shop vouchers

Police and the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority are investigating whether game centres have broken the law by giving out supermarket vouchers as prizes. Some amusement centres have offered as much as HK$800 worth of supermarket vouchers as top prizes, sparking debate about whether they have been encouraging gambling. The gambling ordinance prohibits amusement centres from offering cash prizes.
