A 62-year-old man was critically ill with the flesh-eating disease necrotising fasciitis, the Centre for Health Protection said yesterday. The Wong Tai Sin man had injured his right hand at home while handling a fish on Thursday. He developed fever and swelling of the hand the next day and was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
