Nokia is hoping to enter the netbook market with its Booklet 3G. But why buy a netbook from a mobile phone maker?
First, the Booklet 3G promises all-day battery life with a 16-cell battery that will last for up to 12 hours.
The model also offers everywhere connectivity, with 3G and HSPA connectivity, as well as wireless LAN technology. There are also standard phone technologies, such as Bluetooth and GPS, as well as built-in support for Nokia's own Ovi online store for music and applications.
But while these features make the product stand out among its peers, the PC components of the Booklet 3G are relatively standard. Inside is an Intel Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard disk drive, and a 1.3 Mega-pixel webcam. The display is 10.1 inches.
Then there is the Nokia design. The Nokia Booklet 3G is less than 2cm thick and comes with an aluminum body that is both smooth and solid.
It comes in three different colours: black, ice and azure.
