HK$500 prize comes with a catch...

Schoolteacher Mark Henry had travelled all the way from Cambodia to watch the Hong Kong Sixes - and he partly paid for his ticket into the confines of the Kowloon Cricket Club by taking the first catch of the day to claim the prize of HK$500.

'Well it nearly pays for the ticket, if not the beers. I just wish it was Australian dollars,' smiled Brisbane-born Henry (pictured).

Henry took a massive hit from South African David Jacobs in the first game against Hong Kong.

The novel Catch-a-Six scheme, initiated by National Australia Bank, was a popular hit with the crowds yesterday. NAB has come up with a sponsorship of HK$20,000, 40 catches at HK$500 per catch. 'This is a great idea considering the amount of sixes being hit,' he said.

The fans were not the only ones to profit. South African all-rounder Werner Coetsee also pouched a catch, while a spectator, to claim HK$500.
