Students and teachers of West Island School are organising a charity walk to raise funds for people in need in Hong Kong and abroad.

The walk will be held on November 27. Walkers will start from Victoria Peak, then head down through the greenery of the ridge and finish at the school campus in Pok Fu Lam, where there will be a barbeque and a concert at the end of the event.

The school started the annual fund-raiser last year, and it says this year's target is to raise HK$250,000 for 17 aid projects.

These include services for elderly people, the blind, refugees, the homeless and community services in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
