Mercury drops to record autumn low
Temperatures are expected to stay between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius today, despite the mercury yesterday hitting an autumn low of 14 degrees in the New Territories and 16 degrees in urban areas. It will get a little warmer by the end of the week, the Observatory said, reaching 29 degrees by Sunday. Yesterday's lowest temperature, at Ngong Ping on Lantau Island, was 9.2 degrees.
