And then there were two. The Open attracted three major winners this week and Ben Curtis (British Open, 2003) and Yang Yong-eun (PGA Championship, 2009) survived into the weekend on three-under and an impressive seven-under respectively. The 1998 Masters and Open Championship winner Mark O'Meara, meanwhile, had his visit to Fanling cut short thanks to a five-over 75 that saw him total one-over after two rounds - three shots from safety. A lifted cap, a wiped brow and a big sigh said all you needed to know about O'Meara's day - a massive nine-stroke turnaround from his opening-day near-to-flawless 66, to prove even those among golf's immortals can have a day they almost feel human.
