Wife's advice pays dividends

Peter Lawrie obviously knows who to listen to when it really matters. After a two-under-par 68 left him on six-under and within striking distance of the leading group, Lawrie (pictured) revealed it was his wife who urged him to come to Hong Kong - as she thought the Open would be the perfect warm up for the European Tour season-ender in Dubai. 'My wife said to me this would be a good practice week for Dubai but this is my best chance [for victory],' said the Irishman. And he put that down to the Fanling course. 'I believe the course in Dubai is very long with no roughs,' Lawrie said. 'So I have more chance here than in Dubai.'
