Objects fall from height

Three objects fell yesterday from the same building from which a sledgehammer was thrown on Tuesday.

A flower pot and a can fell from Block 11 of Pak Tin Estate, Shek Kip Mei, at about 6pm, landing three metres apart. Less than two hours later, a mop fell from the same building.

Police searched the block and took away a middle-aged woman from a flat on the 11th floor.

Sham Shui Po District Chief Inspector Osbert Chau Hin-hung said it seemed strong winds had blown away things left carelessly at windows. The woman may be charged with allowing objects to fall as police said she had seemingly left the flower pot loose on a clothes drying rack.

There have been at least seven reports of objects thrown from the building in the past two months. A woman was arrested on Wednesday for throwing apples from it.
