The ever-popular Clarke was left ruing the fickle hand of fate. A 10-under 270 was enough for a share of 11th - and, let us not forget, US$39,035.71 - but the man from Northern Ireland just could not seem to get his putts to drop all week. And that has pretty much been the case for Clarke throughout 2009. 'I tried and did my best this week, [there's] nothing more I can do,' he said. 'It is not all about this week as it has been a pretty poor season overall. But I am proud I went out this week and gave myself a chance. I just couldn't get one to drop in the last few holes.'
