Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier each year. For a break from the retailer's version of commercialised seasonal cheer, music organisation Katterwall is bringing back its traditional form of good tidings to all with a community carol singalong and concert (last year's event pictured) at the Lok Hing Lane sitting-out area (amphitheatre) in Lan Kwai Fong tonight. As usual, choir master Bethan Greaves will lead her charges - and everyone else who wants to be like a herald angel and sing - for an evening of carols, including Silent Night, O Come, All Ye Faithful and Deck the Halls.

For those who are not like Scrooge, you can also help the Operation Santa Claus campaign by purchasing a carolling booklet at the Il Padrino restaurant on Wo On Lane before the event. The HK$40 will go to the cause - and you will get discount coupons for food and drink in return. The 'fa-la-la-la-las' begin at 8pm.
