Champions South China sought assistance from heaven after their surprising 3-1 defeat by Sun Hei last week. Led by convenor Steven Lo Kit-sing, the team went to the Kwun Yam Temple on Lantau Island yesterday, worshipping the goddess and making wishes for upcoming fixtures. The Caroliners are currently sixth in the table with nine points from five matches, three behind leaders Citizen, with two matches in hand. Kitchee, meanwhile, defeated nine-man Sha Tin 2-0 yesterday with two goals from Spaniard Albert Virgili.
