A 19-year-old Hongkonger won the World Snooker Championship in India last week.

Ng On-yee beat 49-year-old Kathy Parashis 5-1 to take the crown. Ng is the first Hong Kong snooker world champion.

People watching the match said Ng made many long shots perfectly.

Ng is a two-time winner of the Hong Kong Under-21 Snooker Championship.

She had to stop playing after taking a 4-1 lead in her battle against Australian Parashis. Officials wanted her to take a drug test before they let her continue.

Ng returned to finish in perfect form.
