Holidays can be a great time to express your creativity. Two weeks away from the classroom means students are free to let their imaginations run wild. 
To provide a forum for all that creative juice, Young Post is launching a holiday short story competition, sponsored by Dymocks.
Stories must be on a holiday theme and between 1,500 and 2,000 words long, and they must be original work. The only other limit is your imagination. 
The winning entries will be published in Young Post during the coming holiday reading programmes  and all entries will be published on our website, yp.scmp.com. 
The best stories will win book vouchers from Dymocks.
E-mail your entries to yp.competition@scmp.com with 'Holiday SS' in the subject field. Don't forget to include your full name, age, school and phone number.
Entries must reach us by December 19.
