Tasmania's Overland Track has new walking itineraries courtesy of Anthology (www.anthology.travel), the owner of the Cradle Mountain Huts. Hikers can now choose three- or four-day routes as well as the existing six-day package. Trips start at the Quamby Estate homestead, outside Launceston. After a drive through the towns of Sheffield and Deloraine, hikers set off through Cradle Valley. The three-day trip features two nights at the Barn Bluff hut (above), near Dove Lake. Four-day journeys include stays at three huts along the track. Huts have hot showers and twin-share rooms and guests are served a three-course dinner with local wine. Rates for the three-day hike start from A$1,370 (HK$9,830) per person, twin share.
