Hong Kong sailors bag three out of four golds

It was good tide-ings for Hong Kong's boardsailors, who brought home three gold medals and a silver with one race still to go in the 10-race series off the shores of Stanley.

Vicky Chan Wai-kei led the gold-medal charge as she remained unbeaten in nine races to clinch the top prize in the RS:X women's class.

The other golds went to Leung Ho-tsun in the Mistral men's heavyweight and Cheng Kwok-fai in the Mistral men's lightweight event, where another local, Ma Yik-kau, grabbed the silver.

The only gold to slip Hong Kong's grasp was in the RS:X men's class, where Japan's Makoto Tomizawa finished first and third in yesterday's two races.

It will now boil down to a battle for the silver between Hong Kong duo Chan King-yin and Ho Chi-ho and South Korea Lee Tae-hoon. The latter has a one-point lead over Chan and two over Ho.
