Annual treat set to thrill city's gamers

The Asia Game Show, which opens Thursday, has goodies for gamers and football fans.

At this year's show, which will run until Sunday, the PlayStation stall has a number of great deals and two football memorabilia items that any fan would die for.

One of them is a football signed by famous Argentine player Lionel Andres Messi. It will be given to the first person who purchases the Winning Eleven 2010 Limited Edition Pack (HK$1,599) for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). The second person to purchase a pack will get a jersey signed by Spanish football player Fernando Jose Torres Sanz.

Gamers will have a chance to get one of eight worldwide limited-edition Assassin Creed II figurines. The first 50 visitors of each day of the show who buy a PSPgo will get a free PSPgo cover made by Head Porter in conjunction with Clot.

Role-play fans will get the chance to get a set of two Final Fantasy XIII posters by either purchasing the PS3 Japanese version of the game (HK$649) or the special console bundle pack (HK$3,248). The bundle pack includes a copy of the PS3 game and a white console that features a light magenta illustration of the game's heroine.

The Asia Game Show opens Thursday at Hall 5GF, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, and runs until Sunday (10am to 8pm daily, 10am to 5pm on Sunday)
