Survey finds big price variations

A weekly survey of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai stores by the Consumer Council found Wellcome sells a tooth and gum care alcohol-free mouth rinse at a price 107 per cent higher than at ParknShop. A lasting care moisturising lotion sold at beauty outlets Sasa and Bonjour is 99.3 per cent more expensive than at a pharmacy. Satay broth for hotpot at City'super costs 79.5 per cent more than at a frozen meat shop.
