A motorcyclist hit a monkey while riding along Tai Po Road towards Kowloon, near Villa Carlton, yesterday afternoon. Police said the accident occurred shortly after 2pm. The 33-year-old man suffered head and limb injuries. He was treated at Caritas Medical Centre and discharged. The seriously injured monkey was treated by vets but died last night. There are an estimated 2,100 monkeys in the city.
