A 49-year-old man with diabetes and obstructive sleep apnoea became the city's 53rd casualty of swine flu. He was admitted to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong on December 22 with fever and flu symptoms. He was transferred to intensive care on December 23 and was confirmed to have swine flu the following day. He died at 6pm on Saturday.
