Six hurt in head-on crash

Six people, including two boys aged eight and 11, were injured in a head-on collision between a taxi and a private vehicle in Clear Water Bay yesterday. The accident occurred on Clear Water Bay Road near Choi Wan Estate shortly after 6am. Four women and the boys were sent to United Christian Hospital. A 45-year-old woman remained in hospital in stable condition last night, and the rest were discharged after treatment.

Huge ketamine haul

A man, 21, was arrested after police seized about 12 kilograms of ketamine worth HK$1.42million in Kwun Tong. He was first stopped on Ka Lok Street at 1.45pm and was found to be carrying 84 grams of the drug. A further 12kg was found in a rented flat nearby. Police believe the man to be a core member of a drug ring which supplies West Kowloon.

Arson probe into playground fire

Police are investigating a possible case of arson in Hung Hom after a children's playground in Hung Lai Road was burnt down yesterday. Firefighters put out the blaze soon after arriving at 11am, and concluded the cause of the fire was suspicious.
