Promenade opened in Kwun Tong

A new harbourfront promenade was opened in Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong yesterday. Formerly part of the Kwun Tong Cargo Working Area, the 200-metre long promenade cost HK$19.6 million and is the first stage of a harbourfront enhancement project in the industrial district. The promenade features a performance stage, a spectator stand with 200 seats and a special tower landmark generated from piles of recycled paper at the former site of the working area. The second stage will begin construction in 2011.
