Shipwrecked for a day 
The Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives (www.centarahotelsresorts.com/cirm)  is offering an idyllic 'Robinson Crusoe experience'. For US$325 per person, guests are  dropped off by speedboat on a nearby uninhabited island. The castaways are free  to explore the island at their leisure and bathe in the crystal-blue lagoon waters. Rather than surviving on berries and speared fish, they can enjoy a luxurious picnic hamper and a bottle of chilled champagne. Civilisation is a mere mobile phone call away, with a speedboat on standby to return them to the resort.
Access excess 
The Mandarin Oriental Sanya on Hainan Island (left; www.mandarinoriental.com/sanya) is offering guests free entry to the Hainan Rendez-Vous luxury lifestyle show (hainanrendezvous.com/en) over the Easter weekend, from  April 2 to 4. The event - for  which tickets cost 180 yuan (HK$204) - is organised by China Rendez-Vous and Visun Group and will showcase luxury brands, real estate, lifestyle products, yachts and  private jets. The hotel, surrounded by 12 hectares of landscaped gardens, has access to the area's shopping and entertainment districts.
