Ever feel like you can't keep up with all the new pop music names showing up on the scene? Join the club.

When we were informed by Sony that its latest pop sensation Ke$ha (pictured) will be in town for a media showcase this Friday, our first thought was: 'Who?' It turns out the dance-pop singer's first recording, Animal, debuted at number one in the United States, and her single, Tik Tok, topped the charts in five countries. She even appeared as a presenter at the Grammy awards on Sunday.

To go with her stylised name, she also has a dollar-sign tattoo on her hand. Funny, we've never even heard of her. The showcase is at the Beijing Club. Tickets are HK$300 and include one drink.

Also headed this way is another Korean girl band called 4Minute. The five member K-pop group will be here from February 19 to 22 for a series of promotional events, including a mall show and autograph signing at Emax on February 20 at 3pm. That evening they will also be the guest performers at the Studiodanz competition and show at Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Jockey Club Auditorium.

The gals are already on heavy rotation on Seoul stations and will be promoting their album, For Muzik. We assume their name is not referring to how long their career will last before the next idol comes along.
