He's not strictly world music by definition, but musician David Broza is certainly a change from the standard pop/dance hit makers who visit the city. The singer/songwriter is perhaps Israel's best known musician of the past 30 years, sometimes compared to Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen for his poetic Hebrew songs preaching peace and understanding. He will play a charity concert on March 6 at 8.30pm at the Leo Lee Art Centre at the Canadian International School, Aberdeen. Tickets, HK$288 to HK$588, are available from HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Outlets. All profits from the show will go to support women's and children's groups in Hong Kong and Israel.
