1. Desert - Emilie Simon

The French have their own take on beauty. This mellow piece is one of my favourites. A good wind-down from a great night out.

2. Bad Romance - Lady Gaga

Everybody loves Gaga. Definitely the modern interpretation of being totally daring without caring.

3. Barber's Adagio for Strings - William Orbit

Orbit's electronic adaptation of Samuel Barber's melodic lines turns a classic piece into a timeless chill-out favourite.

4. Angels - Robbie Williams

Someone told me once that pop ballads are for cheesy people who have no depth. Who cares, as long as you like it.

5. Mr Curiosity - Jason Mraz

I love a smooth, simple tune during idle times. It can help get you back to the drawing board revitalised.
