Driver injured as taxi crashes down hill

A taxi crashed 30 metres down a hill after the driver dozed off at the wheel and failed to make a turn while driving on Castle Peak Road, Cheung Sha Wan, early yesterday. The 50-year-old night-shift driver, who was rescued by firemen, suffered head and hand injuries and was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital. He was in a stable condition. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
