Comedy actor and director Stephen Chow Sing-chi says he will turn Emcom International, listed on Hong Kong's Growth Enterprise Market, into a world-class entertainment conglomerate that rivals Time Warner. Chow, who has produced comedy films including Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, has been appointed an executive director of Emcom after buying HK$45 million worth of its convertible bonds. The firm will change its name to Bingo Group. Its only major asset is a shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui.
