Chris Bowers of The Underground is expanding her indie rock empire from just organising local shows to bringing in international musicians.

Under the auspices of a new company called Shazza Music, the musician and promoter is bringing to the Rockschool on Saturday, March 27, Canadian indie rocker Ron Hawkins for a one-off performance.

Formerly the lead singer of popular Toronto bands the Lowest of the Low and the Rusty Nails, Hawkins - not to be confused with the blues legend Ronnie Hawkins - is currently touring solo with a CD appropriately named 10 Kinds of Lonely.

Tickets for the show will be HK$130 at the door, or HK$100 in advance from Rockschool, on the second floor of 21-25 Luard Road. Tickets include a mixed drink. For details, call 9486 4648 or e-mail contact@undergroundhk.com.
