Canadian indie rocker to play at Rockschool
with Andrew Sun. Additional reporting by Vivian Chen.
Chris Bowers of The Underground is expanding her indie rock empire from just organising local shows to bringing in international musicians.
Under the auspices of a new company called Shazza Music, the musician and promoter is bringing to the Rockschool on Saturday, March 27, Canadian indie rocker Ron Hawkins for a one-off performance.
Formerly the lead singer of popular Toronto bands the Lowest of the Low and the Rusty Nails, Hawkins - not to be confused with the blues legend Ronnie Hawkins - is currently touring solo with a CD appropriately named 10 Kinds of Lonely.
Tickets for the show will be HK$130 at the door, or HK$100 in advance from Rockschool, on the second floor of 21-25 Luard Road. Tickets include a mixed drink. For details, call 9486 4648 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
