Multiglory to take plenty of catching again

Trainer Tony Cruz has had a successful association with owner Lyraa Ng Yin-mui through the years and they will have plenty more fun with promising speedster Multiglory, who looks a top chance in the opening leg of tomorrow's Triple Trio at Sha Tin.

Cruz trained another PPG speedball for Ng in Multidandy, who raced through the classes to reach a 119-rating while winning the HSBC Premier Vase and also gave them a taste of Dubai when participating in the Dubai Golden Shaheen.

Multiglory was well-fancied in his debut over the 1,000m on the C track on January 10 and showed good speed to press the pace of Amedeo before drawing away and giving stable rider Matthew Chadwick his all-important 70th career win.

It was a similar C course and distance for his next engagement 28 days later, but a rise in grade after an 11-point penalty, a yielding ground and an inside gate against a course bias eventually took its toll and he was overhauled late in the piece by feather weighted and wet-track loving Invinciblekindness.

The three-year-old is forecast to get a faster strip tomorrow and will take plenty of catching.

Invinciblekindness has 16 pounds more to carry with a top rider (Brett Prebble returns from suspension) from gate one and is a definite danger, while Super Plus, My Memory, Supreme De Union and newcomers Final Answer and Bingo Bingo are worth considering.

In the middle leg, Packing Friend has been threatening to greet the judge and is drawn for a top run in his 1,800m debut.

In-form Luckyme, Leo's Pride, Zephyrus, Fantastic Guy, Upside Of Anger, Rocket And Gold and Forest Fountain are likely to be his main opposition.

It's a tricky final leg, but My Whisky looks the leader and has already proven a hard cookie to run down. He is the standout with Chadwick dictating from gate eight.

Consistent Golden Treasure is a logical dual banker play as he will enjoy a soft run from gate four, while Mutual Friendship, Wise Lover, Prince Kalamoun, Happy Tumbler, Master Gunner, Buccaneer and Century Super Star are all worthy opponents.
