Yiu hopes to take his dirt freak to Dubai

Trainer Ricky Yiu Poon-fai could have runners in three different countries at the end of the month if he can make a last-minute entry for outstanding Dynamic Blitz to race in Dubai while stable star Sacred Kingdom tackles the Takamatsunomiya Kinen (March 28) in Japan. Dynamic Blitz staked his claim for a shot at the world's best dirt horses with a brilliant burst of speed which allowed him to devastate a top-class field by a widening 31/4 lengths. 'He really is an expert on the dirt, and if I can find out a bit more about the new track in Dubai and they allow us to race there, I think it would be worth considering,' Yiu said. Yiu's day soured slightly, however, when stewards handed him a HK$25,000 fine for inadvertently administering the medication vetalog to Sweet Baby, who was a stand-by starter at the Happy Valley meeting on February 24.
