Many people say the moral standards of today's youngsters are deteriorating. I agree. Most youngsters think they can do whatever they like whenever they want.
Also, they think they have the right to do anything and they want total freedom. Many teenagers only care about materialistic fulfilment, and some girls take part in compensated dating to make extra money.
Youngsters are also losing their sense of responsibility. They promise to do something, but forget all about it very soon. Once, I was at an MTR station and a student accidentally spilled her drink. Other passengers were helping her wipe it while she stood there and did nothing.
Some parents complain that teachers do not teach their children well. I think the teachers have done their job. It's the students' problem.
Adults need to be good role models for the next generation and educate them. Otherwise, the moral standards will keep falling.
