Wayne Wong Wing-luen and Yu Hiu-tung won the Hong Kong Tennis Champions Cup 2010 men's doubles by defeating Henry So and Rong Ma 6-2, 6-2.

The tournament, which ended on March 14, was hosted by the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club.

Yu, who is ranked number one in Hong Kong men's singles, said he was confident they would win.

'I entered the finals in 2004 with Wayne and we did very well together. We communicate with each other well and were able to perform steadily. I really enjoyed playing in this tournament.'

Wong, winner of last year's CRC open singles, said he had known his opponents So and Ma for years, but it was his first time playing them in the men's doubles.

'I expected to win, but I knew it wasn't going to be easy. We got lucky as some very strong contestants suffered injuries and had to pull out.'

Yu and Wong each won HK$15,000 and prizes sponsored by Canon.
