This week we test: day cream
Keeping skin hydrated throughout the day is crucial. Apply a thin layer of moisturiser in the morning after cleansing. Choose a cream texture for dry skin or a gel for combination to oily skin.
Bliss Triple Oxygen+C Energizing Cream (HK$420/50ml)
The gel-cream texture is great in the humid weather. Gently massage into your face, stroking upwards and in circular motions for about 30 seconds and your skin is revived and oxygenated. Pretty pricy, but the results are worth it.

L'Oreal HydraFresh Aqua Gel Cream (HK$115/50ml)
Does what it claims to do - this gel is hydrating and refreshing. Leaves skin feeling supple with only a thin layer. Comes with a great price, too.

Skinfood Agave Cactus Emulsion (HK$315/145ml)
If you want to spend on a bottle, you won't be disappointed - this is so pretty. But there is a reason we went to plastic ketchup bottles - you can't squeeze glass. Every morning is a fight to get to your cream. No one needs that amount of trouble before breakfast.

Garnier Aqua Defence Non-Stop Moisturising Cream (HK$89/50ml)
This contains anti-oxidant fruit water which is meant to protect your skin from external aggression like pollution. In other words, it's perfect for Hong Kong. But here is the extra point that will make you love it: it leaves your skin soft and smooth.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Cream (HK$400/50ml)
A super-rich cream which means you only need a little, and you really need to work it into the skin. Probably better for older faces - it's just too much (and too expensive) for youthful (or oily) skin.
