DAB urges deal on World Cup matches

The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong has called on i-Cable, operator of Cable TV, to reach an agreement with free-to-air channels TVB and ATV on the airing of football matches during this year's World Cup. It also appealed for i-Cable to allow shopping malls and government recreational facilities to show the matches. An ongoing contract dispute may result in no free-to-air coverage of matches in the tournament.
