Leading jockey Brett Prebble can fight back and extend his premiership advantage over perennial champion Douglas Whyte at the Sha Tin all-weather meeting tonight and looks a standout in the Jockey Challenge as HK$1.75 favourite.

Whyte gained ground on Prebble on Sunday and narrowed the margin to seven, thanks to a superb treble, including a double for trainer John Size.

Size has only one runner this time and, at HK$10 in the overnight market, Whyte's book lacks its usual depth.

Perhaps Prebble's biggest danger will come from in-form apprentice Ben So Tik-hung, who is rated a HK$12 chance, or from veteran Jeff Lloyd, who is value at HK$22.

Prebble has a full book of eight quality rides and has good draws to match, with two of his mounts drawing outside of gate six. Newswire Too, Mister Horse and Olympicship should get Prebble off to a flying start.

Precision Magic, Merry Way and New Glory all have solid each-way claims through the middle of the programme, but the back end of the card makes him impossible to go past.
