Spectacular display of Lamborghinis revs up fund-raising event

What's sexier than a leggy model posing next to a flashy sports car? How about 18 models and 20 Lamborghinis? Citibank organised a fund-raising event along one of the cruise ship piers behind Harbour City on Wednesday night in support of the Benji's Centre providing speech therapy to children from low-income families. As the main attraction, a fashion show by Italian label Sportmax (it has a new store inside Harbour City) was presented along the wharf, which was spectacularly lined with Italian-made Lamborghinis. According to the Lamborghini Club, whose members provided the vehicles, there are only 200 such cars in town.

Called 'Wings of Romance by the Harbour' - the wings, of course, alluding to the car's trademark doors - the event went off without a hitch, as guests afterwards mingled, made donations and posed for pictures next to an especially flashy Murcielago LP640, and bought gifts like Menard Cosmetic sets, Leonidas chocolates, Citibank wealth management advice books, and Fairton (which operates Sportmax and other brands) gift coupons to add to the charity's coffers.

As you might expect, most of the Lamborghinis were polished nice and sparkling for the display. All except for one. Perhaps it was left out during the last few polluted days but the car had so much dust someone wrote on the windscreen, 'wash me'. We assume it was an owner with a sense of humour.
