This week we test: eye cream
Eye cream keeps the skin around your eyes hydrated and helps to set your eye makeup. Some also help to deter dark circles and reduce puffiness.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Eye Roll On (HK$245/15ml) 8/10
The instructions tell you to massage this light, easily-absorbed gel in, so the roller ball applicator seems rather redundant. But the gel is cooling, and seems to have a real effect on dark puffiness.

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Eye (HK$280/15ml) 7/10
This certainly looks professional. The fragrance-free gel is refreshing in the morning and perfect for sensitive skin. A detailed manual explains how you should use it - follow it to the letter and watch puffiness deflate.

Gatineau Diffusance Eye Contour Gel (HK$330/15ml) 8/10
The pretty little blobs of cream suspended in a clear gel are a two-in-one package. The cream rehydrates while the gel gets rid of puffiness and soothes. A bit too rich for mornings, so save as a before-bed tonic. The application spatula keeps the product clean.

Orlane Oligo Vitamin B21 Cooling Balm Eye Contour (HK$460/15ml) 7/10
The product is pricey, but combined with gentle massage, it really does soothe your eyes. Save for the mornings when your eyes are super-puffy, otherwise you'll feel every cent you spent as you squeeze the cream out of the tube.

Apivita First Line Eye Cream SPF 15 (HK$400/15ml) 7/10
This may not be cheap, but it comes with sun protection, which makes it perfect for use before heading out for the day, and has an intense moisturising effect.
