Drink-driving restaurateur fined

Businessman and television host Ricky Cheng Wai-tao, 41, known for placing high bids at tuna auctions, was fined HK$5,000 for drink-driving. The owner of Itamae and Itacho restaurants admitted driving under the influence of alcohol. His licence was suspended for nine months and he was ordered to undergo a driving improvement course. Cheng, who committed the offence on January 1, recorded 30 micrograms of alcohol on his breath - above the 20mcg limit.
