A 77-year-old Kwai Chung man admitted chopping his 87-year-old neighbour, permanently damaging his eye and arm, the Court of First Instance heard yesterday. Chan Ping-kuen pleaded guilty to one count of wounding Wong Kwo with intent on July 27 last year at Kwai Shing Estate. Chan suspected an affair between Wong and his wife as she often visited Wong to collect old newspapers. Sentencing was delayed to April 23.
