Which would you bet on in an eating contest?

Who would think a petite 45-kilogram woman could out-stomach local glutton Johnny Wu Hung-shing? Well, chalk up a (dubious) new victory in the battle of the sexes. At the East Point City mall in Tseung Kwan O on Wednesday, it was a food fight between Japanese competitive eater Hitomi Sato and Wu in the venue's new food court, called Food Point. The two battled it out at a high tea buffet, gorging on items available from the stalls. In an unusually long - 20 minutes - contest, the fairer sex proved to have the bigger appetite. Sato downed 4.7kg of food, while Wu could only stomach 2.7kg.
It's not the first time Wu has been out-gutted by a girl. The big man - two metres tall and weighing more than 100kg - certainly looks as though he can pack away the pounds, but in past contests he has been defeated by another Japanese woman, Miyuki Iwata, who weighed only 40kg, and American Sonya 'Black Widow' Thomas. However, the man did once consume 47 roast-pork buns in 12 minutes. Choke on that.
