Hiratsuka leads in Myanmar
Japan's Tetsuji Hiratsuka shot a course record eight-under-par 64 to take the first-round lead at the Air Bagan Myanmar Open in Yangon yesterday. The five-time winner in Japan posted an eagle, seven birdies and one bogey to beat the old record - set by Australian Gavin Flint - by two strokes. Flint, Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand and South African Jbe Kruger are two strokes back. 'My irons were excellent and that helped. The golf course also suits my game,' Hiratsuka (pictured) said.
